The Bamboo Braid

About- 

The bamboo braid is fairly simple, but not common among people in the united states. At first you may think the bamboo braid is the same as the fish tale, but you are mistaken, there are subtle differences between the two, while that fishtale is normally between 10 to 50 strands (depending how thick or thin you want the braid to be) while the bamboo braid is anywhere above 100 strands.

How to-

1. take the hair and separate it into two parts

2. take a TINY strand from the right section, and wrap it around both sections, interlocking the two 

3. when that strand is gone, take a TINY piece from the left section and do the same thing

4. continue this all the way down the hair, going from right section, to the left

5. finally, tie the end of your hair with a small clear elastic

My favorite books EVER

She holds her life together for a short time but her landlord discovers that her mother is missing and child services steps in, sending Ruby to live with Cora and her husband, dot-com millionaire Jamie Hunter. When she meets Nate, the perfect boy, at first it is a little bit awkward, but after a while Ruby and Nate come to be in a relationship, but is Nate really as perfect as he seems?

Getting out and active

Getting out and active can be hard, especially when you have had a long and rough winter, but getting out with your friends and your pet could be really fun

Outfits for rainy spring days

Layering is always important for ever changing spring weather. So if it gets warmer you can remove layers if needed, then put them back on when it gets colder. 

Tops-

To start off you should choose your favorite tee shirt, or a shirt that is flattering on your body type. Then snatch a jean jacket, or a cardigan of some sort and put that over your tee, when you get hot you can tie the cardigan or flannel around your waist. Finally for your tops you should add a long rain coat to protect you from getting all wet. 

Bottoms-

You pretty much only have two options for pants, jeans or leggings. You could wear jeans for a casual chic look. You could also wear leggings for a more cozy laid back look. I personally like both so you could use them interchangeably. 

Accessories-  

For shoes you are going to want to go with rain boots or just boots in general. You could do one statement necklace or layering long and short necklaces. 

spring 2016 trends

So you all may know, or not know, that my style is more 90s vintage then your average 14 year old. 

Shorts are always a must in the summer, even though I hate them because they are always too short and unflattering, but luckily the mom jeans and mom shorts are making a comeback from the 90s. Mom shorts are an easy way to stay cool while staying covered.

Overalls are also thankfully coming back to style. They are so easy to just throw on with a crop top or a bralette. They are also SUPER cute and should be a staple in everyone's wardrobe this spring. 

Everyone knows that rompers have been on trend for a long time, however this seasons rompers all have something different, but very special about them, whether it's an intricate design on the back, or lace trim around the bottom, this season is going to be better then ever. 

Patches is such a trend, patches on everything from your shorts to your jean jacket. watch out because they are going to be everywhere soon. 

Bless that one piece bathing suits are in for this spring and summer. one piece bathing suits offer the needed coverage to girls who aren't too confident in their bodies, no matter what size she might be.
