Books, March 2016

My favorite books EVER

1.Every last word- Samantha McAllister looks just like the rest of the popular girls in her junior class. But hidden beneath the straightened hair and expertly applied makeup is a secret that her friends would never understand: Sam has Purely-Obsessional OCD and is consumed by a stream of dark thoughts and worries that she can't turn off.
2. Winter girls- Lia and Cassie are best friends, but as they grow up, both develop destructive obsessions with body image, dragging each other down because each is afraid of dealing with her demons alone. Lia is anorexic, and Cassie bulimic, and then in the months before their senior year of high school, Cassie breaks off the friendship, leaving Lia devastated. Six months later, Lia receives thirty-three phone calls from Cassie in one evening, but she refuses to answer. When she discovers the next day that Cassie has died, Lia realizes that Cassie had been calling for help, and she is wracked by guilt.
3. Lock and key- Ruby's dad left her mother with nothing when she was 5, now her mother abuses her and her sister Cora, however when goes to collage, she left ruby stranded. Then, just six months short of her eighteenth birthday, Ruby's mother disappears. She holds her life together for a short time but her landlord discovers that her mother is missing and child services steps in, sending Ruby to live with Cora and her husband, dot-com millionaire Jamie Hunter. When she meets Nate, the perfect boy, at first it is a little bit awkward, but after a while Ruby and Nate come to be in a relationship, but is Nate really as perfect as he seems?
